Heart in stow back-bended beat I weep.
Above below cracked stones damp valleys I creep.
The journey of the night unfolds…
darkness returns with hapless familiarity.
The midway seeker finds no peace
The outstretched mind finds no mooring to fasten a dream.
Love lost subtle leaves no notice of it harshness.
Now I must carry and wear the pitiful fragility
it leaves in its wake.
Be-leagued withdrawing its flow
from the comforting tide
of my ruby veins.
It weighs heavy on my will.
